We have taken a huge step in the modern direction and moved 'into the Cloud'

You may have already noticed that we at iEDI have had a busy start to 2021. The reason for this is due to our ambitious journey ‘into the cloud’. It was a bumpy ride to the cloud, but now we are finally at the finish line - and what does this mean for you? That we can now fulfill several of your wishes.

iEDI is growing, and to remain agile, it was a necessity to upgrade our infrastructure. We have for a long time had a goal of running clean and environmentally friendly data centers. 2021 was the year in which we realized our goals and made a major hardware and software update.

We no longer have any hardware maintenance as it is all up in the cloud and not on desktops. This is of great importance for us to be able to scale up easily and quickly, without it having any significance for our customers.

“Usually you have some servers that have some capacity. When the servers are full, it affects the users of the platform - and then you are on that degree. iEDI is now part of DigitalOcean, which is the third largest operator in the world. With our new network, this means, among other things, that if we have a lot of pressure on uploads, our network will automatically start new upload servers - and scale back when necessary”

- Jens Kirkeby, CTO, iEDI

Expands with weekend support

Now we have taken the step ‘into the cloud’ and this has given us the opportunity to improve our services. As a result of all this, we can now offer weekend support.

A great wish from many of our customers is now a reality. iEDI is expanding with weekend support from 8:00-16:00, so you can get help to send your important documents, and make sure they are with the recipient on Monday morning.

Getting through major updates should never be easy. Now we have said goodbye to the infrastructure design we have used for 18 years, and can now welcome our customers to a safer and more stable product, with environmentally friendly hardware that uses minimal power!

We know many of you have a similar update ahead. You are more than welcome to reach out to us so we can share our experience.
